What we provide.

  • Market Analysis & Strategy. Market research, competitive analysis, and positioning work for international companies entering Germany. We help you scope opportunity, identify the right beachhead segment, and understand the local buying dynamics before you commit resources. For background on how German B2B buyers actually decide, see our B2B decision-making guide and growth-sectors guide.
  • Business Planning & Financial Modeling. Business plans and financial projections built to the expectations of German banks, IHK, and stakeholders. Cash flow models, working capital plans, scenario analysis. The plan also doubles as the supporting document for GmbH formation and business-immigration applications when those are part of your path.
  • Company Setup Coordination. End-to-end coordination of GmbH, UG, or German branch formation. Notar introduction, IHK pre-check, HRB process coordination, Steuerberater handover, registered office, banking introduction. Available as a focused product — Company Setup Germany.
  • Business Immigration Coordination. Coordination of the business-side workstreams around your visa and residence-permit process. We do not provide immigration legal advice; we introduce qualified Fachanwälte für Migrationsrecht and coordinate the supporting business plan, IHK input, and financial documentation. Context in our business immigration guide.
  • Partner Network Access. Coordinated introductions to our partner network: Notare, Steuerberater, Fachanwälte (corporate, employment, migration), Versicherungsmakler, office providers, and banking contacts experienced with foreign-founded entities. One contact at S&S Consult, multiple specialists working in parallel.
  • Location & Operations Guidance. Choice of Bundesland, registered office, banking-friendly jurisdictions, and operational rhythm of the first twelve months. See our German states business guide and first-year operations guide.

Our partner network.

Substantive work in regulated areas — legal, tax, notarial, insurance — is done by the qualified specialists in our partner network. We hold the timeline, the German-language communication, and the coordination across counterparties so you have one contact across all of them.

  • Notare (notaries). For incorporation deeds, share transfers, real estate transactions, and any other notarised act required under German law. Coordinated appointments around your travel.
  • Steuerberater (tax advisors). For Fragebogen zur steuerlichen Erfassung, ongoing bookkeeping, annual financial statements, payroll, and VAT registration. See our German taxation guide for context.
  • Fachanwälte (specialised lawyers). For migration law (Fachanwalt für Migrationsrecht), corporate, employment, IP, and contract matters. We do not give legal advice ourselves — we introduce the right specialist for your situation.
  • Versicherungsmakler (insurance brokers). For Berufshaftpflicht, Betriebshaftpflicht, D&O, cyber, and sector-specific cover. Independent brokers, not single-carrier tied agents. Background in our German business insurance guide.
  • Office and address providers. Physical office, coworking, and registered-office (virtual address) options across major German business hubs. Right choice depends on sector, banking expectations, and team plans.
  • Banking contacts. Established relationship managers across Sparkassen, Volksbanken, and digital banks experienced with foreign-founded entities. We brief them in advance; the final account-opening decision is always the bank's. Context in our German business banking guide.

Who we work with.

  • International SMEs. Small and medium enterprises looking to expand into Germany as their next growth market. We handle the complexity so your team can stay focused on the core business.
  • Entrepreneurs & Founders. Individual entrepreneurs and startup founders who want to establish a legal entity, secure a business visa, and build their presence in Germany from scratch.
  • Investors & HNWIs. High-net-worth individuals and investors seeking to deploy capital in the German market through business acquisitions, real estate, or new ventures.
  • Corporate Expansion Teams. Larger companies with dedicated expansion teams that need local expertise, partner introductions, and regulatory navigation to move faster.

Our Process.

  • 1. Initial Consultation. A focused discussion with our Managing Partners to understand your objectives and explore potential approaches for your German market entry. We'll share initial insights and outline possible strategies.

Note: The initial consultation is offered at no cost and consists of a 30-minute meeting.
  • 2. Strategic Proposal. Following our initial discussion, we develop a tailored proposal outlining our recommended approach, timeline, and investment structure. This includes a clear scope of services and expected deliverables.
  • 3. Dedicated Support. Once engaged, you'll work directly with our senior team throughout your market entry journey. We ensure seamless communication and coordinated execution across all service areas.
  • 4. Ongoing Partnership. Our relationship extends beyond initial implementation. We remain available as your trusted advisor, supporting your continued growth in the German market.

Why S&S Consult.

  • Local presence in Munich. Our office is in Grünwald (Tölzer Straße 1), in the Munich metropolitan area. We meet partners, clients, and counterparties on the ground. For background on the local ecosystem see our Munich business guide.
  • Founder-led, no churn. S&S Consult was founded by Viktor Siewert and Maximilian Scheuermeyer. Clients work with the founders directly — there's no junior-handoff and no account-manager carousel between scoping and delivery.
  • One contact, multiple specialists. Substantive work in legal, tax, and notarial areas is handled by qualified specialists in our network. You speak to one person at S&S Consult; we coordinate across the counterparties. The friction of managing each provider separately stays with us.
  • Multilingual coordination. Fluent English and German. Additional working languages: Russian, Turkish, Georgian, Polish, and Chinese where helpful. You do not need to speak German to use the service — the German-language interface with notary, IHK, Finanzamt, banks, and counsel is coordinated by us. For broader context see our starting a business without German guide.
  • Honest about what we do not do. We do not act as Geschäftsführer, do not provide legal or tax advice ourselves, do not guarantee bank account opening or visa outcomes. We coordinate the introductions and the project — the specialist work stays with the specialists, and you always know who is doing what.

Common questions.

What does an S&S Consult engagement typically cost?

Engagements vary by scope. The initial 30-minute consultation is free. Beyond that we work on fixed-scope packages where the deliverables are clear (e.g., Company Setup Germany) and on bespoke retainers for broader market-entry projects. We share an indicative range during the discovery call once we understand the scope; written proposals follow with a clear scope and price.

How long does a full German market entry take?

Realistic end-to-end timelines run three to nine months depending on what is in scope. Company formation alone is six to ten weeks. Adding banking, tax-advisor handover, office setup, hiring, and ongoing operations stretches the timeline. We map a realistic schedule at the discovery call and update it as variables (banking, immigration, hiring) resolve.

Do you provide legal or tax advice?

No. S&S Consult is a market-entry consulting firm. Legal questions go to qualified German counsel — Fachanwälte in our network — and tax matters go to qualified Steuerberater. Our role is coordination, business planning, and project management around those specialists.

Can you handle just one piece of the work (for example, only banking introductions)?

Yes. We frequently do focused engagements where a client needs only a piece of the puzzle — banking introductions, registered office setup, tax-advisor introduction, or a one-time business plan for an IHK or visa application. Discovery calls are still free; we scope and quote from there.

Do you work with US, UK, and other non-EU companies?

Yes. The majority of our work is for non-EU founders and companies entering Germany. The German legal framework is permissive to foreign shareholders and Geschäftsführer; our process is built around the realities of clients who are not relocating to Germany themselves.

Do I need to come to Germany to start working with you?

No. Initial scoping, discovery calls, business planning, partner introductions, and most coordination is handled remotely. The notarial deed for incorporation is the main step that typically requires presence in Germany; we plan it around your travel.

What languages do you work in?

English and German fluently. We can also assist in Russian, Turkish, Georgian, Polish, and Chinese where helpful. All documentation and communication with the German counterparties (notary, IHK, Finanzamt, banks, lawyers) is coordinated by us — you do not need to speak German to use the service.

Can you help me decide whether Germany is the right market for me?

Yes. Market analysis and entry strategy is one of our core services. We help you scope the opportunity, identify the right beachhead segment, and understand whether Germany is the right next step before you commit resources to formation, hiring, or relocation. See our growth-sectors guide and B2B decision-making guide as starting points.

Do you act as Geschäftsführer or nominee director for foreign-owned companies?

No. S&S Consult does not act as Geschäftsführer or as a nominee director for client companies. A non-resident foreign national can be the sole Geschäftsführer of a German GmbH; we discuss the practical implications during the discovery call.

How do we get started?

Book a free 30-minute discovery call. We map out your goals, timeline, and which parts of the work fit our scope. After the call you receive a written summary and, if it makes sense to proceed, a proposal with clear scope and price.
